Faculty Housing Application Guide For Foreign Faculty Members
1. Eligible Applicants
This guide applies to foreign faculty members currently employed at Woosong University.
2. Scope of Application
Eligible faculty members may submit applications for the following purposes:
- Application for Assignment of Faculty Housing
- Application for Change of Assigned Faculty Housing
- Application for Move-Out from Faculty Housing
All applications shall be reviewed and processed in accordance with university regulations and housing availability.
3. Principles of Housing Assignment and Housing Stipend
A. Priority Principles for Housing Assignment
1. Faculty housing shall, in principle, be assigned with priority to newly appointed foreign faculty members.
2. Housing assignment for current faculty members applying for re-entry shall be considered only when housing units remain available after assignments for newly appointed faculty members have been completed.
3. Due to limited housing availability, if no housing units are available for re-entry applicants, re-entry applications may be automatically processed as not assigned.
B. Housing Allowance Payment Criteria for Re-Entry Applicants
1. In cases where a faculty member, at the time of initial appointment, voluntarily chose to reside in privately leased housing and accordingly received a 50% reduced housing allowance pursuant to Article 11, Paragraph 2 of the Guidelines for the Management of Housing for Foreign Faculty and Staff, the following provisions shall apply if the faculty member subsequently applies for re-entry into faculty housing:
① Regardless of whether a re-entry application is submitted, the housing allowance shall not be increased to 100%, even if faculty housing cannot be assigned due to housing availability conditions.
② The housing allowance for such faculty members shall continue to be paid at the originally applied reduced rate (50%).
2. These provisions reflect the faculty member’s voluntary decision to reside off-campus at the time of initial appointment, as well as the limited availability of faculty housing and the principle of priority assignment for newly appointed faculty members.
4. Application Instructions

2. An administrative officer will contact you regarding the review and processing of your application.
※ Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee housing assignment. All applications shall be reviewed and processed in accordance with university regulations and housing availability.
