Paid Sick Leave Application Guidelines
The following information outlines the eligibility criteria, required documents, and application procedures for paid sick leave for faculty members.
1. Paid Sick Leave
- Faculty members may apply for paid sick leave when medical treatment is required due to illness or injury.
Required Documents:
▶ A medical certificate issued by a hospital, clearly stating the diagnosis and treatment period
- The maximum duration of paid sick leave is up to 60 days.
- If medical treatment is expected to exceed 60 days, the faculty member is required to apply for a leave of absence in accordance with university regulations.

2. Sick Leave Application Procedure
- As faculty sick leave directly affects departmental academic operations, faculty members are requested to inform the Department Chair or Dean in advance of their sick leave plan.
- Except in unavoidable circumstances, paid sick leave should be applied for at least one (1) month in advance.
- Prepare the required documents and submit the application to the relevant department office.
- The department will process the sick leave request through the electronic approval system, and the approval will be forwarded to the Office of Human Resources.
