Maternity and Parental Leave (Unpaid)
Maternity leave and parental leave are granted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Labor Standards Act and the Act on Equal Employment and Support for Work–Family Balance.

A. Maternity Leave
 - Female faculty members are entitled to a total of 90 days of maternity leave.
In the case of multiple births, the leave period is 120 days.
 - During the maternity leave period, at least 45 days (60 days for multiple births) must be taken after childbirth.
 - Maternity leave may be applied for before the expected date of childbirth or after delivery.

B. Maternity Leave
 - Parental leave may be requested when the faculty member has a child who is under eight (8) years of age or enrolled in the second grade of elementary school or below.
 - The maximum duration of parental leave is up to one (1) year, and it must be taken within the limits prescribed by applicable laws and regulations.
 - Parental leave may be requested consecutively following the completion of maternity leave, or separately at any time during the period in which the child meets the eligibility requirements.

     ▶ Family Relationship Certificate, as applicable

 ※ The duration and detailed operation of leave are subject to applicable laws and university internal regulations.

Leave Application Procedure
  1. As faculty leave directly affects departmental academic operations, faculty members are required to consult in advance with the Department Chair or Dean regarding their leave plan.
  2. Prepare the required documents and submit the leave application to the relevant department office.
  3. The department will process the leave request through the electronic approval system, and the approval will be forwarded to the Office of Human Resources.
  4. The leave application must be submitted at least one (1) month prior to the intended start date of the leave.

Return-to-Work Application
Faculty members must submit a return-to-work application at least one (1) month before the expiration of the leave period.
