Researcher Registration and Research Funding Guidelines

Woosong University faculty members are advised to review the following information regarding researcher registration and eligibility for research publication funding.

Newly appointed faculty members must complete the researcher registration process with the Industry–Academic Cooperation Foundation before they can apply for or receive any research publication funding.

Please note that research funding cannot be provided until the required researcher registration has been completed.

1. Researcher Registration

Faculty members who wish to apply for research funding related to published academic papers must complete researcher registration in advance with the Industry–Academic Cooperation Foundation.

For newly appointed faculty members, this registration is an essential administrative procedure and must be completed before applying for research funding.

Researcher registration is a mandatory prerequisite for all research funding applications.

2. Research Funding Eligibility

After completing researcher registration, faculty members may apply for research support funding based on the publication type and authorship, subject to the University's applicable research funding regulations.

The general funding standards are as follows:

• Scopus-indexed journal (single author): KRW 5,000,000 per paper

• SCI-indexed journal (single author): KRW 5,000,000 per paper

• KCI-indexed journal (single author):

  • KRW 3,000,000 per paper (initial payment)

  • Additional KRW 2,000,000 per paper

  • Up to a maximum of KRW 7,000,000 per year

※ The funding amount and eligibility requirements may be subject to change in accordance with the University's research funding policies and regulations.

※ Additional requirements or different funding standards may apply depending on the type of publication, authorship, and other relevant conditions.

3. Important Notice for Newly Appointed Faculty

Newly appointed faculty members who intend to receive research publication funding must first complete the researcher registration process with the Industry–Academic Cooperation Foundation.

Please make sure to complete the registration before applying for research funding, as applications may not be processed if the required researcher registration has not been completed.
