- Passport Change Notification to the Immigration Office. This is a legal obligation.
- If you receive a new passport, you must report the change within 14 days. Failure to report the change
may result in a fine (administrative penalty).
- How to Report
1) Visit the Immigration Office in Person
Required Documents
① New passport (original)
② Previous passport (if available)
③ Alien Registration Card (ARC)
④ Application form (available at the immigration office)
2) Online Notification via HiKorea
Since this procedure only involves updating the passport number in the system, it is usually processed
on the same day.
